Our Mission

The CUNY Alliance for Inclusion (CAFI) is a faculty-led group that seeks to advance fact-based civil discourse about Israel and promote the inclusion of Jewish, Zionist, and Israeli identity across the CUNY system.

Our Vision & History

The Alliance was formed to counter the shared ideological thrust of Palestinian and Islamist rejectionists and CUNY’s anti-Israel left who envision an end to Israel as they condemn it for defending itself. We stand against the unfiltered echo chamber of fabricated facts, double standards, and ahistorical, contextless condemnations of Israel and oppose the unravelling of civility at CUNY, which threatens Jewish students who stand with Israel and creates an atmosphere of hostility, harassment, and intimidation. We will work to foster a climate of inclusion at CUNY which honors the humanity and diverse heritages of all students. We oppose the woeful distortion of human rights advocacy in the classroom and within the PSC-CUNY union that abandons countless victims of abuse by autocratic regimes around the world in order to unfairly attack a single democratic state, Israel, while giving cover to terrorist Hamas, which swears to wipe it off the map.

Our Values

  • Civil discourse
  • Pluralism and openness
  • Academic integrity
  • Fair, unbiased representation of facts
  • Attainment of educational excellence
  • Combating antisemitism and anti-Zionism
