We are the CUNY Alliance for Inclusion

The CUNY Alliance For Inclusion (CAFI) is a diverse group of scholars and educators at CUNY who defend Israel’s right to exist and are committed to work for a vibrant and collegial academic community free of bias and intimidation.

CAFI was formed in response to the singular hostility towards Israel expressed in counterfactual and regressive public statements, and especially the June 2021 resolution of the PSC-CUNY union, which furthers an antisemitic climate on CUNY campuses.

  • We insist on

    moral and intellectual clarity within the City University of New York and stand against endless inversions of the truth for the purpose of demonizing Israel. We endeavor to overturn the mind-numbing resolution of the PSC CUNY faculty and staff union which condemns Israel for defending itself.

  • We stand with

    students, faculty, and staff who are threatened by the unraveling of civility at CUNY brought about by those who demonize the Jewish State. We call upon the Chancellor and College Presidents to work with faculty, staff, and students to work for the inclusion of all groups within the fabric of life at CUNY.

  • We oppose

    the distortion of human rights advocacy within the PSC union that turns a blind eye to the actual abuse of countless innocent victims by autocratic and terrorist regimes in the Middle East and around the world in order to single out Israel for baseless accusations.
