This thought-provoking short film (The Book of Ruth) and post-screening talkback featuring filmmaker Chen Drachman will explore what it means to be Jewish today - in a post-Holocaust and post-October 7th world. The short film The Book of Ruth, featuring Tony and Emmy Awards nominee Tovah Feldshuh, has been in numerous festivals around the world and won Best Narrative Short at the San Diego Jewish Film Festival, Best Family Short at the Deep in the Heart Film Festival, Best Narrative Short at the South Dakota Film Festival, and more.

Arab Citizens of Israel: How Far Have They Come?" featuring Robert Cherry

In this program, Robert Cherry will speak about the dramatic transformation of the economic, occupational, political, and social situation of Arab citizens of Israel in the last twenty years. He will also explain how their treatment during the 1948 war and first two decades afterwards is more nuanced than critics claim.
