CUNY Alliance for Inclusion Joins the Union in the Search for Reconciliation

We welcome the PSC statement of October 12, 2023 which begins, “The Professional Staff Congress joins unions in the U.S. and abroad to express our grief and dismay about the violence and loss of life in Israel and Gaza. We strongly condemn the kidnapping and murder of Israeli civilians by Hamas.”

We are pleased that our common humanity brings us together. The PSC further beneficially notes in its statement, “As a union of educators, we value communication, free speech, and mutual understanding as a means to resolve conflict.”

We share the belief that communication, free speech, and mutual understanding are a means to resolve conflict and look forward to constructive engagement with the union and other groups at CUNY.
