Freedom in the Face of Tyranny: A Conversation with Natan Sharansky and Gil Troy

Natan Sharansky was imprisoned in the USSR for nine years because the Soviets identified him as a Jew. He kept his sanity and identity by resisting his interlocuters at every point. Due to international public outcry and political pressure from President Reagan, he was allowed to leave the USSR for Israel, where he served as Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Jewish Agency from June 2009 to August 2018. He currently serves as Chairman for the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP), an American non-partisan organization which has recently published material on the funding that supports Students for Justice In Palestine and similar organizations.
